Firefox OS bus in Bangalore

I’ve been a bit late on this post. But only cause I was occupied with other things.

So, Firefox OS bus went all over India spreading Moz love and awesomeness all over. It reached in bangalore on 19th October. And I was one the regional coordinator of bangalore or so it said πŸ˜› Whatever, I was just glad to be a part of the amazing tour however small might it be. πŸ™‚

We reached at PESIT, south campus and was waiting their with other mozillians from bangalore, who probably knew bangalore better than me. πŸ˜€ The college fest of PESIT was under way. And enthusiasm of the students was admirable πŸ™‚ Though they were having their “Rock Night” at 10 am :/ Weird, I know! But somehow their college authorities didn’t gave them permission otherwise. Somewhere, I was so happy to be studying in a college where our Rock Night was actually at night and started at 10 pm πŸ˜› XD Anyways, I was talking about Firefox OS bus πŸ˜€

While waiting for Firefox Os bus, we had our own selfie time

So, the bus was late to arrive at the campus. Because of the marathon that was organised in bangalore on the very day. Too much happening in the city on a single day!! So, finally, the bus came and we met the moz crew from all over India and some awesome mozillians from bangalore. πŸ™‚ The rain other plans for us as it forced us to crawl into shades πŸ˜›

After another hour or so, we moved back into the bus and went on to Jagga. An amazing natural environment just outside of bangalore which I was unaware that it even existed. Developers, students whoever wanna learn, build, work or maybe just get away and code are welcome here. Truly mesmerising the natural energy that filled up the whole space out their.

And after checking in, we went out for group dinner at Barbeque nation. πŸ™‚ Woo hoo.. Awesome food all along. πŸ˜€ We all had some pretty amazing time with Firefox OS bus macchas πŸ˜€

The event was organised on 30th September, 2014.

Being my first my first Moz party, I was pumped up about the event. It was supposed to be organised in Cafe Coffee day, near Navina Cinema.

The first ever bn_IN meet ever. It was a gathering of bengali localisers from kolkata. Biraj was the coordinator of the event. Started up by each of one us introducing oneself.

Attendees:

Biraj went on to explain a few standards to be maintained in the the bengali community of localisers. Some latest developments, tools and l20n were explained by Swarnava. Biraj went to tell us about the many problems that has been facing in the near past by the contributors. Bengali localiser standards are important. Of course the thin line of difference between translation and localisation has to be maintained well. Even so, each area of contribution required was noted and spent on the table. Finally, swags were distributed and we had a nice group photo outside CCD πŸ˜€

Then we all walked to the way to South City mall, where we were supposed to be having our Community Dinner at Mainland China. The L10n cake was cut. Ahh, it was tasty πŸ˜€ Then came the exquisite dinner and we had a small video to share from the day. Finally, after another group pic, everyone headed home tired and stuffed and content. πŸ˜‰
