So long

5

Can you hear me weep
From this hole so deep
I’ve dug my path
To the world underneath

Can you hold this light
Till I pass out tight
I want to be with you
Till it turns blue

So long, so long
You will cry when I’m gone
But I know you are strong
Let’s drive till it’s dawn

Can you hear me smile
I know it’s been a while
I would sit for hours
to listen your plan of ours

Can you wait for me
Or count to just three
I’d promise I’ll return
If only I could earn

So long, so long
In a world full of wrong
You are my moonlight
This will be our last fight

So long, so long
This battle is now done
Will you keep me
in the midst of your palm

So long, so long
I am now at peace
So don’t worry my love
Stay with your beloved dove

The Battle

Hello again stranger,
have you come to hear a tale.
Come watch the trailer,
and then choose to play the game.

There are no controls,
your wits are all you’ve got.
Lose and we take away your souls,
that’s the twist in the plot.

Travel long and far to be alone,
travel together to be known.
Travel or you will be thrown,
to the moon for there lies your throne.

Your skills are all that you must hone,
only then, you will shine on your own.
Find the key and the gate shall be shown,
in the light of darkness, do watch your tone.

Moments will come and moments will go,
but you will never be without a foe.
Worry not, for the princess is safe,
only you can dig your own grave.

Stopping is not an option for the warrior within,
all this time the line only grew thin.
Win this and the game will end,
some rules the world will also bend.

Wonder where you at in a world so vast,
after all we all are but slaves of the past.
Pray o pray we meet beyond the field someday,
let the grass grow green again as we grow grey.

The Howling Dragon

Howling Dragon

It was the spring which began,
a tale of the beast in some far away land.
Warriors came chasing a legend,
never to find any trace of the howling dragon.

Came along a shepherd boy with no sheep,
nor money to pay the barkeep.
Walking down the streets he heard the lore,
The howling dragon is on hunt once more.

The boy saw the warriors preparing,
for the march ahead to their deaths daring.
Food and water all over the floor,
Hungry and foolish the boy went through the door.

Having eaten his fill, slept he like a baby,
Had been years since dreamt his lady.
Came the morning and he opened his eyes,
Only to find himself in carriage in the desert highs.

Startled he saw above the scorching sun,
A kind warrior offered him a bread bun.
Came night again and he tried to escape,
Guarding the door was a big black snake.

Three nights and four days later they reached the cave,
of which stories said to have been visited by the brave.
Waited the warriors for the dark to fall,
the boy had learned to stand up tall.

The howls began and red became the night sky,
Silence was the answer to the warriors merciless cry.
The boy closed his eyes and hid himself,
he now wished that he was back by his bookshelf.

Out came the sun again,
and the boy saw all the blood drain.
Hope was lost or regained,
the boy did as was he was trained.

He ran as far as he could,
for he knew the ways of the wood.
The howling dragon was not a myth,
Wrote the boy on a golden monolith.

He passed on with the knowledge written,
No other soul will now be eaten.
Passed by the monolith a group of nine men,
Carried the stone all to their garden.

Men being men, saw only the gold,
built their fortune after they sold.
The nine pieces now travelled by waggon,
only one of which mentioned the howling dragon.

The big fuss

I wonder if you ever stepped on grass,
and not think twice, over the burnt brass.
I wonder if the metal clashed each other,
and not be heard, to the harbinger.
I wonder if the earth took it’s last breadth,
and not be welcomed in, by the death.
I wonder if the builder will ever destroy merrily,
the very thing, that he built so dearly.

I wonder if there ever was a God,
to whom you, would actually nod.
I wonder if instant gratification really pays,
or have you been praying to anyone, who openly says.
I wonder if in this life or the next,
your wishes come true, through my text.
I wonder if I really have known what you want,
or would you rather have me try, a different font.

I wonder what to believe in and not be seen,
for there can be only one right answer, to come clean.
I wonder if you will forgive me for all that I have been,
or would you have me burnt down, through the pain of my sin.
I wonder what might have made you say those words,
maybe someday even the trees will ask, for the birds.
I wonder if our deaths will be as meaningless,
as was the lives we lived, nothing but a big mess.

For if you have ever wondered about any of these,
come let’s find the answers, with a slice of cheese.
Maybe together we can fulfil each other’s desires,
and let the false world, keep calling us liars.
For you would know me and I would know you,
sitting on top of the mountain, enjoying the heavenly view.
There they go again fighting and squabbling like us,
Wouldn’t they too take forever, to know what was all the big fuss.
